No Slowdown for Blue Label Telecoms

Blue Label TelecomsBlue Label Telecoms shows no signs of being affected by the global economic downturn, as its revenue continues to grow.

The company has released its results for the year ended 31 May, showing a 16.4% revenue increase in South African operations alone. The local office also grew its EBITDA by 46.5%.

According to Blue Label Telecoms’ statement released with the results, the growth in South Africa can be attributed entirely to increased volumes. Prepaid has become more popular with the global downturn, and is a factor in its growth success.

Blue Label Telecoms overall revenue increase came in this year at 18% and, while the company admits South Africa remains its highest earner, the company has made some headway in its businesses in the UK and in India. Read the rest of this entry »

Launching first with Blue Label Telecoms in South Africa, OneApp will be used as part of the new and upcoming release of its Mibli consumer mobile service. As a result of a strategic relationship with Blue Label Telecoms, Mibli, powered by Microsoft OneApp, will ship with more than a dozen new mobile apps.
